This is part of an idea I'm tossing around to offer a really high level of fit and finish without going way over what the production models cost. These are "hard ground" and have much thinner edges than the standard edition. The handle has been hand contoured off of the existing CNC scale chassis and the spine has been crowned for that addictive "Custom" feel.
WHAT IS "HARD GRINDING"?
Grinding the blade after heat treating in it's hardened state. This ensures even carbide distribution down to the cutting edge for improved edge holding ability and allows for greater dimensional accuracy. This process takes an extended period of time and care must be taken to keep the blade from overheating at the grinder.
